JFX Drives Commodity Futures Industry Collaboration, Distributes IDR 750 Million for Clean Water Access Program in Aceh Tamiang
Jakarta, 21 December 2025 — Jakarta Futures Exchange (JFX), as the first and largest futures exchange in Indonesia, continues to demonstrate its role in driving collaboration across the Commodity Futures Trading industry through the distribution of humanitarian assistance supporting the Clean Water Access Program in Aceh Tamiang, in partnership with Save the Children Indonesia.
Through cross-stakeholder collaboration, a total of IDR 750 million was successfully raised and distributed. The funds were contributed by JFX, PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (KBI)—the only BUMN-owned futures clearing house and part of the Danareksa State-Owned Holding—along with JFX shareholders, exchange members, and individuals within the commodity futures trading industry. All funds were channeled through the Save the Children Humanitarian Pool Fund to ensure a coordinated, effective, and well-targeted humanitarian response.
As a reflection of this collective commitment, JFX and Save the Children Indonesia conducted a symbolic handover ceremony, marking the commencement of program implementation on the ground. The funds were allocated to support the construction and installation of a water filtration system, covering land preparation, excavation processes, and full system installation to ensure readiness for community use in disaster-affected areas.
As of 17 January 2026, the installed water filtration system has demonstrated significant results. Chief Growth Officer of Save the Children Indonesia, Ms. Kiki Rizki, stated that the system is currently capable of producing nearly 7,000 liters of clean water per day.
“The installation process required additional time, as mud was encountered at a depth of approximately two meters, making the work more challenging. Nevertheless, we hope the system’s capacity will continue to increase, be optimally utilized by the community, and operate sustainably in the long term,” she explained.
The Clean Water Access Program is expected to deliver tangible and sustainable benefits, particularly in improving access to safe water, safeguarding public health, and supporting post-disaster recovery efforts in Aceh Tamiang.
Through JFX’s active role in mobilizing the commodity futures trading industry, this collaboration reflects a shared commitment that the industry’s contribution extends beyond economic activity to include meaningful social responsibility. Going forward, JFX hopes to further strengthen cross-stakeholder collaboration to generate broader and more sustainable social impact.
